Understanding Anxiety Through QHHT

Anxiety can feel like an uninvited guest, lingering in the background of our daily lives. It’s a common struggle, affecting millions worldwide, with many feeling overwhelmed by its grip. As a Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT) practitioner, I often hear from clients who reach out specifically because they grapple with anxiety, seeking relief from its persistent weight. For many, it’s a signal that something deeper is asking for attention. Dolores Cannon, who developed QHHT, offered profound insights into the roots of anxiety and how to heal it. Through her decades of work, she discovered that anxiety often stems from unresolved energies in the subconscious mind, whether from this life or past ones, and that QHHT provides a powerful path to release it. In this blog post, I’ll share Cannon’s perspective on anxiety and how I use her groundbreaking technique to help you find peace and clarity.
The Subconscious: The Key to Unraveling Anxiety
Cannon believed that anxiety is more than a reaction to modern stressors - it’s often a message from the soul. In her thousands of QHHT sessions, she found that the subconscious mind holds the answers to why we feel anxious. This deeper part of ourselves, which she called the “Subconscious” (or higher self), knows the root causes of our fears, whether they originate from childhood experiences, past-life traumas, or even soul-level agreements made before this incarnation.
As a QHHT practitioner, I guide clients into a deep, somnambulistic state of hypnosis, allowing them to bypass the conscious mind’s chatter and connect directly with their Subconscious. This connection reveals the true source of anxiety - perhaps a past life where fear was imprinted or a belief system carried over into the present. As Cannon often said, “The subconscious knows everything. It is the part of us that is connected to Source.” Once the root is uncovered, the Subconscious can channel healing energy, often described as “white light,” to dissolve anxiety.
Anxiety as a Teacher, Not a Flaw
One of Cannon’s core teachings, which I incorporate into my practice, is that we create our own emotional and physical challenges. “People don’t realise we make ourselves sick. We cause our own problems. Nobody does it to us, we do it to ourselves,” she explained in her lectures. Anxiety, in her view, isn’t a flaw but a signal that we’ve forgotten our eternal nature as beings of light. It’s a call to reconnect with our soul’s purpose and release what no longer serves us.
For example, in her book A Soul Remembers Hiroshima, Cannon shared a case where a client’s chronic fear traced back to a past life during the atomic bombing. By reliving and releasing that trauma in a QHHT session, the client’s anxiety vanished. Similarly, in The Convoluted Universe series, she documented how phobias, stress, and generalised anxiety often stem from “soul splinters”- unresolved energies from other lifetimes. Through QHHT, I help clients integrate these energies, bringing profound relief.
The Power of the Mind to Heal
Cannon was adamant that the mind is a double-edged sword: “If the mind is powerful enough to make yourself sick, it’s also powerful enough to heal you.” Anxiety, she believed, thrives when we focus on fear and separation. Her antidote, which I share with my clients, is to shift to love, trust, and connection with the universe. In QHHT sessions, clients often discover that their anxiety is tied to giving away their personal power - whether to external circumstances or self-doubt. By reclaiming this power and aligning with their higher self, they can transform fear into empowerment.
Cannon also emphasized practical steps for managing anxiety outside of hypnosis, which I encourage my clients to practice:
Breathe Through the Heart: She advised focusing on heart-centered breathing to enter a “space that can heal anything,” as she put it. This practice grounds you in love, the most powerful force in the universe.
Trust Your Soul’s Plan: Anxiety often arises from resisting life’s flow. Cannon encouraged surrendering to the divine plan, trusting that every challenge serves your soul’s growth.
Embrace Your Eternal Nature: Remembering that “we are all eternal beings having a human experience” can shift your perspective, reducing the weight of earthly worries.
How QHHT Can Help You Release Anxiety
QHHT is uniquely suited to address anxiety because it goes straight to the source. In a session with me, you’ll enter a deep state of relaxation to explore past lives or the past of your current life, then connect with your higher self. Your Subconscious may reveal why anxiety is present - perhaps a past-life betrayal manifesting as social anxiety or a karmic lesson asking for resolution. Once identified, the Subconscious facilitates healing, often leaving clients feeling lighter and more at peace.
Many of my clients report life-changing results after just one session. For instance, a client struggling with panic attacks might uncover a past life of abandonment, release the associated energy, and find their anxiety significantly reduced. As Cannon noted, “Love is the most powerful force in the universe, and it has the ability to heal and transform even the most difficult situations.”
